Epoxy structural adhesive

Designed for applications that require

high-strength structural bonding.

Epoxy structural adhesive has excellent bonding strength and durability, capable of withstanding significant tensile, shear, and peel forces. It can connect various components, and its bonding strength is better and more uniform under stress compared to riveting and welding methods, preventing stress concentration in materials, being more fatigue-resistant, and improving the crack resistance and integrity of components.

At the same time, epoxy structural adhesive also has good electrical insulation properties, as well as resistance to solvents, oils, acids, alkalis, and water.

The epoxy structural adhesive developed and produced by Hinnel has a wide temperature resistance range, maintaining stable performance in high temperatures, low temperatures, and harsh environments. It can be quickly positioned, requires no welding, is non-corrosive, and has good adhesion, temperature resistance, and oil resistance to metals, ceramics, vulcanized rubber, fiberglass products, and carbon fiber products.

Usage (two-component epoxy resin structural adhesive)

Pre treatment - Clean the surface of the adhered or coated material, use cleaning agents to remove rust, dust, oil stains, etc.

Mixing - 400ml double tube packaging: Rotate 90 degrees to remove the lid, install the mixing tube, and put it into a professional manual, electric, or pneumatic glue gun for glue application. To increase reliability, do not use a few drops of glue that have just been squeezed out of the mixing tube to prevent uneven initial mixing and poor bonding effect.

Attention: The mixing tube is a consumable item, and if it is used beyond the operating period, the mixing tube needs to be replaced again.

Kilogram packaging: Use manual or automatic equipment to evenly mix A/B components in proportion, making sure to stir evenly. For large-scale production, automatic measuring/mixing/gluing equipment can be used.

Glue application - After glue is mixed, it shall be evenly applied to the two surfaces to be glued for closing and positioning during the operation period. It shall not move and bear the force until the glue has run out of gel. Pressure shall be applied to the base material as required to ensure full contact with glue to achieve the best bonding effect.

Curing - Cure according to the curing conditions required by the TDS of the product. Before testing the comprehensive performance of the product, it should be cured at room temperature for at least 7 days or heated after initial curing at room temperature, such as 80C/1h or 80 ° C/1h+150 ° C/1h. Heating and curing will result in better adhesive properties.

Attention: The curing time is greatly affected by temperature and adhesive dosage, and there may be slight differences in curing time under different temperatures and adhesive dosages.

Cleaning - When using epoxy resin, it is recommended to use disposable containers and utensils. When disposable materials cannot be used, solvent cleaning equipment can be used to remove uncured adhesive. Solvent cleaning tools should be thoroughly dried before reuse; Any residual solvent will cause contamination to subsequent operations.

Storage and Shelf Life

This product is non hazardous and should be stored in a sealed container away from light and heat. The shelf life is 12 months in the original unopened container, and the shelf life is marked on the label of each product's outer packaging. Products that have exceeded their shelf life must be tested for normal performance before they can be put into use.

Attention: The materials taken out of the container may be contaminated during use. Do not store the product back in its original container.

Precautions

1. The A/B components should be weighed strictly in proportion, and after mixing, they must be stirred evenly to avoid affecting the curing effect. When the temperature is low in winter, the viscosity of A/B materials will increase at low temperatures. The material can be preheated to 25 ℃ for easy use.

2. Before use, ensure that the parts and containers to be bonded are clean and free of dust, oil stains, salts, and other pollutants on the surface to prevent affecting the curing performance of the adhesive.

3. Some people may have skin allergies to epoxy adhesive. When using it, if the skin is stained with epoxy adhesive, it should be washed with soap in a timely manner.

4. It should be noted that low temperature can have a significant impact on epoxy resin, affecting its curing process, crystallization, viscosity, and may lead to condensation inside the container. Low temperature will slow down the curing process, making the material more brittle, resulting in poor final product performance, reduced material strength, and decreased durability. Meanwhile, an increase in viscosity will make the mixing and application of epoxy resin more difficult.

Therefore, when the temperature is low in winter, preheating and increasing the curing temperature in advance are crucial to ensure product performance.

Usage (single component epoxy resin structural adhesive)

Pre treatment - Clean the surface of the adhered or coated material, use cleaning agents to remove rust, dust, oil stains, etc.

Temperature recovery - Single component epoxy adhesive needs to be stored at low temperature if not used for a long time. Before use, remove the product from the refrigerator and avoid opening it immediately. It should be left at room temperature for about 2 hours to recover to room temperature before use (the recovery time depends on the size of the packaging and the environmental atmosphere). Before opening and using, wipe off any water stains outside the packaging can to prevent moisture from entering the adhesive and affecting its quality. If you need to speed up the reheating time, you can use circulating water for reheating, but pay attention to waterproofing or put the glue in an oven for reheating, but the oven temperature cannot exceed 30 ℃.

Glue application - Apply glue directly onto the surface of the object to be bonded that has undergone degreasing, rust removal, and roughening treatment. Select appropriate tools to assist in applying glue, fix it with fixtures, and then place it in equipment that has reached the required curing temperature for curing. For sealing applications, there is no need for fixation, just heat and cure directly.

Curing - Cure according to the curing conditions required by the TDS of the product, and the curing time refers to the duration after the adhesive temperature reaches the corresponding temperature. Therefore, for objects with slow heat transfer such as large volume and deep depth, due to the relationship of heat transfer rate, the curing temperature should be moderately increased or the curing time should be extended to fully cure the adhesive solution. During the curing process, if too much glue is applied or the temperature is too high, bubbles may form. In such cases, please lower the curing temperature appropriately.

This product is a non hazardous material, stored in a sealed container away from light and heat. It is stored in an unopened original container at -5 ℃ and has a shelf life of 6 months. The shelf life is marked on the label of each product's outer packaging. Products that have exceeded their shelf life must be tested for normal performance before they can be put into use.

Attention: As this product is a chemical product that reacts when heated, environmental temperature has a significant impact on product quality. Please store the product in a low-temperature environment to ensure its stability and quality. If the colloid is not used up after removal, please seal it tightly in a timely manner and store it in a frozen environment again.

Precautions

1. Single component epoxy adhesive is sensitive to temperature during the curing process. The above curing time refers to the duration after the adhesive temperature reaches the corresponding temperature. If the adhesive temperature does not reach the required temperature, the curing time of the adhesive may be very long, or even not cured. For objects with slow heat transfer such as large volume and deep depth, due to the relationship of heat transfer rate, the curing temperature should be moderately increased or the curing time should be extended to fully cure the adhesive solution. During the curing process, if too much glue is applied or the temperature is too high, bubbles may form. In such cases, please lower the curing temperature appropriately.

2. When using, try to avoid direct contact with the skin. A very small number of people may experience mild skin allergies and itching if they come into contact with the adhesive solution for a long time. It is recommended to wear protective gloves when using it. If it sticks to the skin, please wipe it off with acetone or alcohol and clean it with detergent or soap.

3. Long term direct sunlight or ultraviolet radiation should be avoided, which may cause a decrease in the quality of the adhesive or render it unusable after self reaction.

4. Do not expose to outdoor humid and hot conditions to avoid quality problems caused by moisture intrusion.
